Police responded to Bristol Regional Medical Center to speak with a man with a gunshot wound. He stated that while traveling Bristol Caverns Highway, an acquaintance in another vehicle motioned for him to pull over. The two then exchange words about “the whereabouts of a friend,” and the other man pulled a gun from behind his back. Two rounds were fired — with the second hitting the victim in the leg — and the suspect fled. A police report notes the pair “had a disagreement a couple weeks ago.” Detectives responded to investigate further.

He was transported for a mental evaluation.
A Piney Flats resident reported two masked men entering his garage, with one wielding a handgun. On Walnut Hill Road, a woman allegedly rammed her husband’s vehicle with her own, pushing him into a ditch. She then exited with a metal pole, hit his windshield multiple times and threatened, “I’m going to kill you, you cheating bastard.” The man was able to dislodge his vehicle and drive to the nearby Bristol hospital for help. His wife followed and police interviewed her in the parking lot. When asked where the pole was, she replied, “I don’t know, but if I had it, I’d bust him in the head with it right about now.” She was arrested for aggravated assault, vandalism and reckless endangerment.
